ESOL and EFL

ESOL courses are for people whose first language is not English. They will help you improve your spoken and written English, help you prepare to find a job and help you gain a Trinity ESOL qualification. Courses are for European Union citizens, people who have lived in the UK for at least three years and have permission to live in the UK, refugees and asylum seekers. An overseas fee is applicable for those who are not eligible for funding.

ESOL Pre-Entry Level - from £415

ESOL Speaking and Listening - from £415

ESOL Reading - from £219

ESOL Writing - from £329

  • Flexible payment plans are available - ask for details in centre.
  • Overseas rates apply to non-eligible students.
  • If you are on a low income, we may be able to help you with the cost.
  • ESOL is FREE if you receive the relevant benefits

EFL courses help you improve your English as well as your job and career opportunities in the UK. There are no restrictions on who can attend an EFL course.

These courses have a heavier focus on grammar than ESOL courses. For more information about the exams, visit www.cambridgeenglish.org/exams. We are also an EFL open centre. If you would like to take the exam only, please email: LearnEnglish@kent.gov.uk
