Inspired by Sonia Delaunay, Sinta Tantra’s dynamic design of circles with flowing and broken lines of colour transformed The Cube into the landmark building that its site at the top of Tontine Street today. Her painted design, titled 1947, uses candy pink, racing green and wedgewood blue, colours she found in a poster from 1947 that promoted rail travel to Folkestone as a holiday and tourism destination after the difficult war years.
