Centre information
Built between 1561 and 1577 by Maidstone MP Nicholas Barham, St Faiths is one of the oldest and most interesting Kent Adult Education buildings. Pop in for a Coffee and have a look around.
Look for the old photo in reception that was taken at the time the cornerstone was laid for the later extension. The site was once a science and art school which officially opened on 16th October 1894.
The St Faiths Maidstone Centre offers a range of courses in a truly impressive building right in the centre of Town. There is a wonderful Art room with excellent natural light and an atmosphere of a true Artist’s studio, there are craft rooms and a fully equipped Pottery with all you need to take you from a lump of clay to a beautifully decorated ceramic treasure.
There is a Fitness and Wellbeing studio where you can exercise or find your inner calm.
Along with all of this St Faiths offers a good range of accredited courses such as Bookkeeping, Counselling, and British sign language. There is also a dedicated centre offering English and maths.
