This course will be held in our new classroom at Tenterden Adult Education Centre, Homewood School, Tenterden TN30 6LT
This practical course will introduce you to the art of floristry. Looking at the basic principles and techniques required, you will create a hand tied bouquet with spiralled stems.
Bouquets constructed in this way are a popular and fashionable choice for gifts, presentations, brides and vase displays. We will also look at packaging and aqua packing of finished designs where relevant.
Tying flowers is such a versatile technique, making this course a fantastic starting point for complete beginners looking to gain confidence, to practise new skills or even take the initial step towards a career in commercial floristry.
This course will be taught by Caroline Miller. Caroline has worked as a Florist for over 30 years. She has taught at Hadlow College, given demonstrations to local groups and also to the Horticultural Society. She has achieved a Silver medal as Florist of the Year at the Chelsea Flower Show and was part of a team to achieve Gold Medals and Best in Show at the Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Flower Show.
Our new classroom is near the School Farm. After coming into the school site via the main entrance, turn immediately left, go straight on past the main school reception and past the main exit, you will then see signage directing you to our classroom.
