An exploration of artists and artworks from Renaissance times to the Age of Enlightenment. The emphasis of the course will be on art that makes use of the imagination and invention. Students will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of unusual ideas created by some notable and fascinating artists.

Artists will be announced shortly.

Learning Outcomes:

• Demonstrate a knowledge of different eras of art history
• Identify the characteristics of specific artists
• Recognise the art styles typical of selected artists
• Develop and justify point of view
• Take part in discussion with other students

Who is the tutor?

About the Tutor: Deborah Crofts

Deborah Crofts is a practicing artist with a studio on the South Coast of Kent. She has a BA Fine Art from the University of East London and a PGCE gained at the University of Greenwich.
