How will I be taught?

Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft to a higher level. You will be encouraged to look at the work of other craftspeople and artists, both contemporary and historical and keep a sketchbook/ notebook to record goals/ ideas, processes and progress. There will be one to one guidance, group critiques and self-assessment against individualised learning outcomes stated on the ILP, Individual Learning Plan.
Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are practising craftspeople.

What do I need to bring with me?

Books to work on, materials and some small hand tools. Apart from pens and a note pad please do not buy books or equipment before the start of your course. Details will be discussed at the first session or if necessary your tutor will send a list a week before the course starts.
