This course is held at Ashford Adult Education Centre, Ashford Gateway, Church Road, Ashford TN23 1AS

Draw and colour a bird in coloured pencil. In this one-day course you will learn the coloured pencil techniques needed to portray a detailed, colourful bird from a photo reference. There will be plenty of demonstrations and one to one help throughout the day.

This is a very considered art that can help you produce drawings to be proud of.

Please bring your own lunch and refreshments. There are also local coffee shops a short distance from the centre.

How will I be taught?

Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques.

What do I need to bring with me?

For this course, please bring with you the following:-

- Smooth good quality drawing paper, cartridge paper or hot-pressed paper.
- Coloured pencils in a variety of colours.
- Pencil sharpener
- HB pencil
- Putty rubber.

What can I do next?

Further art or botanical courses. Your Tutor will be able to advise.

What do I need to join the course

All students are welcome on this course who have an interest in using watercolour and producing accurate observational drawings of plants and flowers.
It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity .
