Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Oksana Hill
Oksana Hill is a qualified ESOL tutor who has worked in Adult Education for many years. With a wealth of experience in delivering to groups of all levels and nationalities, she provides in-depth learning and self-study for all learners, providing information and guidance on such topics as initial assessment, examinations and extra support.
How will I be taught?
You will work on a variety of activities as a class and in small groups or pairs. This allows the tutor to attend to individual needs as well as to direct the learning of the group as a whole. A variety of teaching strategies will be used. You will be expected to do homework: an average of 5 hours per week
An individual learning plan of work (ILP) is developed between you and the tutor. The ILP will be regularly monitored and discussed with your tutor. Additionally, your work will be regularly marked by your tutor who will give you oral/written feedback.
If you wish to take the exam, please note that the exam fee is not included in the course fee and you will need to pay an additional fee once your tutor has confirmed that you are ready to sit the exam.
What do I need to have with me?
English-English dictionary, ring binder for handouts and homework, paper and pen. You will also have to buy a course book. Your tutor will advise on the first session. You will need to have access to the Internet for your homework.
What can I do next?
