This short Beginners Crochet course will teach you the basic techniques, including:
• How to hold your hook and yarn
• How to read a pattern and chart
• Basic crochet stitches
Each week, we will work towards completing a small project which will expand your skills. We will work from crochet patterns and charts and we will discuss common abbreviations and terms; yarn types and weighs and the most appropriate equipment to use depending on project.
If your course is held at Ashford Gateway in the evening, please note the following:- The main door to the building closes at 6pm. The building can only be accessed via the side door which is situated to the left of the main entrance at the corner of the building. There is an entry system via a buzzer.

How will I be taught?
There will be Tutor demonstrations and lots of opportunity for you to practice. These are hands-on group lessons.
What do I need to bring with me?
Yarn and equipment will be provided for you for use in the first lesson, at an additional cost of no more than £3. Advice will then be given about what will be required for subsequent lessons.
