Come and spend a day exploring the ancient art of felt making. You will learn how to mix colours, using merino wool and how to turn the wool into felt. Learn how to “paint” with wool to create a pair of slippers and how to make pre felts which can then be cut and inlaid to make further textile designs or embellish your slippers or piece of felt.
How will I be taught?
There will be demonstrations, group and individual teaching and you will receive one to one feedback throughout the day.
What do I need to bring with me?
All materials for the day will be brought by the centre and charged at cost depending on how much wool you use. A list of basic equipment for example a towel and washing up liquid will be sent out a week before the course starts. Please do not buy anything until you know the course is running but you can buy your own wool if you prefer after the list of equipment is sent out.
What can I do next?
Your tutor will be able to advise, or please visit our website at www.kentadulteducation.co.uk for details of our Textiles courses.
What do I need to join the course
