You’ll need to bring your own scissors or secateurs, flowers, foliage and mechanics (that’s flower foam, containers and so on - some of these items will be available to buy from the tutor, by prior arrangement).
By the end of this course you’ll be able to confidently:
• use a variety of mechanics as a substitute for flower foam
• design and create a simple table arrangement
• arrange flowers in a tall container
• design and create a modern/grouped arrangement in a footed bowl
• arrange flowers in natural style a narrow trough
There is no homework requirement for the course, but you will need to provide your own flowers for class each week.
Students should budget £10-15 per session for flowers. Buying flowers from the supermarket and supplementing these with greenery from your garden is a cost effective way of providing the necessary course materials.
Mechanics will be available to purchase week by week from the tutor – floral foam, plastic dishes, and so on (by arrangement).
This course will be taught by Julie Davies flower workshops – Julie is an awarding winning florist – BFA Florist Tutor of the year 2016.
