The course will give you an insight into the experiences of the individuals at the forefront of the Arts & Crafts Movement and will also introduce you to some of the iconic designs created by the Morris and Company group.
You will learn more about the lives of the close-knit circle that surrounded William Morris, who was a man of great talents and energy. Morris urged his contemporaries to “have nothing in your homes that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” and his insistence on artistry, craftsmanship, and quality helped revolutionise the late-Victorian interior, leaving a legacy that is still significant today.
