This course has started, but it may still be possible to join it. Please call 03000 41 40 25* and ask to be put through to the Centre where the course is running

This course is delivered online live.

The course is aimed at students who have previously attended Home Studio Recording: Basics, Next Steps, and Creative Music Production courses; in addition, students who already have a good understanding of the practical applications of recording, mixing and/or production.

During this course students will be able to produce and develop their own individual projects putting into practice the skills they have learnt on previous courses, with additional tutor support. Tutor feedback, group discussion, production analysis, extra-curricular tasks and live demonstration will all be used to develop the student’s skills and knowledge further.

Suitable for improvers, students will already be comfortable and familiar with DAW software. Students without their own musical projects will be supplied with a mix project to take through to completion. Computer skills are essential.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Produce a well-made piece of recorded music.
• Develop further critical listening skills for audio production and mixing.
• Demonstrate new mixing techniques.
• Understand and discuss further mixing and production concepts.

To ensure that students' learning needs are met the tutor will work with the student to complete an Individual Learning plan.

To benefit fully from this course, and to further your understanding of certain topics, students may be asked to work on tasks in-between sessions.

Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques.
We will use Microsoft Teams to share work, give feedback, record goals, ideas, processes and progress, and further discussion.

Students will need to understand the potential benefit from the programme of study, read and interpret ideas, communicate responses that are clear, logical and understandable and manage your own time.
