This course is delivered online Live
This course is for students who have an Intermediate Italian and above level.
The aim of the course is to practise Italian with tasks that will give you a social, geographical and historical panoramic of Naples through the years.
Many hints will be taken from the book "L'amica geniale" by Elena Ferrante.
Some passages of the book will be used for exercises of reading comprehension, some video will be shared to practise listening activities and set up topics of discussion within the group in the classroom.
You may also be asked to produce some written exercises according to your level.
This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about this enchanting part of Italy!
How will I be taught?
The focus will be on oral communication (speaking and listening) and some reading and writing will also be included. Pronunciation and Italian culture are an integral part of the course. The course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. Learners will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role-play and games etc).
What do I need to have with me?
The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.
