Gli anni di piombo (The lead years) ’69 - ’80 were full of conflictualities, violence for political aims and harsh state repression of political activism. If you are interested in this period of Italian recent history please join us to participate into the debate that the tutor will create for you.

This course will cover:
Introduction to the main events.
Piazza Fontana - Piazzale della Loggia, Stazione di Bologna.
Terrorism and the involvement of the international secret services.
The Brigate Rosse (Red Brigades) and the Moro abduction and killing.
Italy after the lead years and conclusions.

How will I be taught?

There will be short lectures, extracts from documents, videos to give you the tools to have a debate, participate to the dialogues in small or larger groups.
The course is designed for Intermediate plus /Advanced/Advanced Plus Italian students.

If you have some books, documents, interesting facts about the topic feel free to share them with the rest of the class.
You are welcome to take notes.
