Needle Felting - Christmas Decorations

Needle felting is becoming an increasingly popular fiber craft using raw wool fleece to sculpt various different shapes and blends of colours. It incorporates the use of a barbed needle to bind the fibers together. Come along and learn the basics of needle felt and create your very own Christmas decorations. Learn the basic tools and terms in a fun and friendly workshop to inspire your creativity begin a new hobby. No previous experience is necessary.

By the end of the course, students will:

- have a good understanding or the needlefelting process
- know the best way to use the tools
- understand how to create shapes

How will I be taught?

Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft to a higher level. Students will also be expected to research and respond to the design aspects of craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.

What do I need to bring with me?

There may be a small additional charge for wool depending on the final project as well as a change for the needle felting kit payable to the tutor.
