This course is an opportunity to work with a professional potter on projects from your studio and extend your skill level. The tutor will work with you from the Tunbridge Wells pottery studio and set projects that will extend your practice and understand of any area you need help with. You will be able to share ideas and learn with other potters while in your own home or studio.

How will I be taught?
Craft courses provide an opportunity for you to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including: demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques. You will be encouraged to look at the work of other craftspeople and artists, both contemporary and historical.
Your tutor will give you feedback during the sessions and during one to one tuition.
Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are practising craftspeople.
What do I need to have with me?
If working from your own home or studio have clay ready to work with and a notebook and pencil for if you need to take notes. This will be hands on course for potters who would like to work alongside other experienced potters.

What do I need to join the course
Everyone is welcome to join the course who has experience of working in clay and either has or is thinking of setting up in their own studio.
You can access the class from your computer equipped with a camera and a microphone, from a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone. Before the start of the course, the tutor will send you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click. We will be using Zoom, the system is free, secure and easy to use.
