During this course Anne will lead you through creating a booklet using paper and textiles with some basic printing techniques. The final length of fabric could be made into a hanging of cushion cover or a project discussed with the tutor.
The tutor Anne Kelly is an artist, and author of ‘Connected Cloth’ and ‘Textile Nature’. She plans to share with you during this short course her love of fabric and stitch.
How will I be taught?
Craft courses provide an opportunity for you to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.
Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are practising craftspeople.
What do I need to have with me?
This is a mixed media and textile workshop and if you have anything you think is suitable please have it with you on the day.
A materials list will be sent out prior to the course but please do not buy anything until you know the course is running at least a week before the course starts.
You will need an apron and newsprint as printing can be a messy.

What do I need to join the course
All students are welcome on this course with or without an Art or Craft background as the course will be assume no knowledge.
It is important to note that craft courses are practical, requiring a degree of manual dexterity.

Before the lesson, the tutor will have sent you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click. The system is free and easy to use.
