1 week

Do you have a loom, yarn, an idea, but no plan to follow? Do you need help to realise your unique weaving dreams? This short course is a first step and will provide you with the tools needed to successfully plan a simple weaving. At the end of this session you will understand what sett is, how it applies to various woven items and how to calculate it for your own weaving. This is an appropriate course for those adventurous weavers that want to begin exploring their own weaving ideas. This could be for you if you have only ever followed someone else’s weaving plans and are ready for some more autonomy or for those of you who like to go your own way from the word go. You can learn the principles even if you do not have a clear idea in mind.

What is Weaving? is a good precursor to this course for those of you who are new to weaving and How to Choose your Loom is a good follow on course for those of you who do not yet own a loom
