A chance to try British Sign Language. Learn some basic fingerspelling and a few common phrases such as greetings and information about yourself.
This short one and a half hour course in Canterbury is designed to give students a chance to try British Sign Language out of general interest or before committing to a longer BSL course.
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- fingerspell names and places and demonstrate how fingerspelling can support signing
- meet and greet others and exchange simple personal information
- sign numbers up to 10
- use up to 10 simple signs within a simple conversation using BSL.
