Meet our tutor - Teresa Grau

Meet Teresa Grau, one of our fantastic Spanish tutors who is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. Teresa was born and raised in Spain and studied at University to become a Modern Languages teacher. She then moved to the UK in order to study English and ended up staying here for longer than originally planned. She continued to study whilst staying here and became a qualified business administrator, translator, and interpreter. As part of her language career portfolio, she has also worked proof-reading, editing, revising publications, subtitling and as a lecturer in Translation and Interpreting studies at several universities. Teresa then became a tutor for Kent Adult Education so that she could help her learners progress in their skills and broaden their horizons. She supports her students by giving them space to learn in their own space and provides them with hands-on activities so that they can practise what they have learned in class. Teresa says: “It is very fulfilling to see the progress learners make as time goes by. Knowing that my skills contribute to improving language communication barriers for others is a wonderful feeling and makes me very proud”.
