How will I be taught?
You will be taught by a qualified instructor. To assist in us providing a safe and healthy environment for you to exercise, you will be asked to complete a Confidential health Questionnaire. Teaching methods will include demonstration, explanation, discussion and times for question and answer sessions.
Your tutor will demonstrate movements and talk you through all exercises. You will be carefully observed to ensure that you are working safely and will required to monitor and record your progression on the course using an Individual Learning Plan and Fitness Log.
At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need supportive, comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement. Denim jeans, formal trousers, skirts or dress are not suitable for this activity. You should wear shoes with a soft sole. Sandals, boots or any footwear with a high heel are not recommended. You may be advised not to take part if you are not dressed appropriately.
Students need to bring a mat to work on and may wish to bring a towel. Please bring water and avoid eating one and a half hours prior to exercising.
What can I do next?
