How will I be taught?
Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills and techniques. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.
Your tutor will give you feedback and constructive advice throughout the lesson.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need:
-A pen and notebook
We will be creating 6 domed cupcakes with a Christmas character theme.
6 x Muffin sized cupcakes & box to take home in
12 tablespoons of buttercream ( firm consistency)
400g Sugarpaste ready coloured - including 200g white, 50g red 100g brown 50g black
Small non stick rolling pin
Set of large Round cutters
Paintbrush and pot to put water in
Cutting wheel or small knife
We are all busy at this time of year so if you would rather not have to worry about making your own cakes and icing we are offering a package at £10 which will supply you with the cakes, buttercream, sugar paste and a box to take them home in. We will have some spare tools available for you to use so please don’t worry about buying anything new, just bring the items on the list that you already have.
If you would like to purchase the package please let us know by 9am on the Wednesday before by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and bring £10 (exact money please) on the day of the course.

What can I do next?
We offer cake decorating classes at Beginner and Improver levels as well as further one off classes for novelty cakes. Your tutor will be happy to discuss these with you at the end of the class.
What do I need to join the course
Everyone is welcome, no previous experience is necessary.
It is important to note that craft courses are practical, requiring a degree of manual dexterity.
This course is suitable for anyone interested in cake decorating from complete beginners to those with a little prior experience.
