How will I be taught?
Our art courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop, skills, techniques and to acquire an understanding of the subject. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, instructions, one to one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques. Students will need to look at the work of other artists both contemporary and historical and keep a sketchbook/notebook to record goals, ideas, processes and progress.
To ensure that students' learning needs are met, the tutor will work with the student to complete the required Individual Learning Plan.
As a starting point, all Creative subjects will have the following Course Outcomes
- Successfully demonstrate techniques/skills.
- Use appropriate media, materials and processes.
- Use work of others to inspire own work.
- Demonstrate an understanding of relevant Health and Safety issues.
These outcomes will be the basis of all learning. Additional Personal Learning Outcomes can be negotiated with your tutor to better meet your individual needs.
