How will I be taught?
You will be taught by a qualified and experienced Pilates tutor. Teaching methods will include demonstration, explanation, discussion and times for question and answer sessions. Your tutor will demonstrate movements and talk you through all sequences. Activities will be adapted to suit individual needs and capabilities. You will be carefully observed to ensure that you are working safely and be encouraged to monitor and record your progression on the course.
Your tutor will discuss your progress with you and you will be encouraged to use a Fitness Log as part of an Individual Learning Plan.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need supportive, comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement. Denim jeans, formal trousers, skirts or dress are not suitable for this activity. You should wear shoes with a soft sole. Sandals, boots or any footwear with a high heel are not recommended. You may be advised not to take part if you are not dressed appropriately. Students need to bring a mat to work on and may wish to bring a towel. Please bring water and avoid eating one and a half hours prior to exercising.
