How will I be taught?
Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.
Your tutor will monitor and assess your progress throughout the course to ensure your learning needs are being met. There are no formal exams or tests to complete on this course.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need:
-A pen, pencil and notebook
-A basic sewing kit
-Scissors, pins and a tape measure
-You may wish to bring your own sewing machine
Full details of the fabric and lining you need to buy will be provided shortly, zips and stiffening will be provided.
For safety only closed toes shoes should be worn.
What can I do next?
You will be able to take further courses or take on another specific project class such as Corset making.
What do I need to join the course
This course is not suitable for absolute beginners, students should be able to confidently thread a sewing machine and have completed some simple sewing projects.
It is important to note that craft courses are practical requiring a degree of manual dexterity and students will need to participate fully to get the most out of the course.
