What do I need to join the course
Before enrolling on this course, you will need to complete a pre-course application, which is available from any of our Adult Education Centres. This application is used to shortlist applicants for interview. The deadline for application forms is end August 2017 but interviews are carried out in receipt order and as soon as there are enough students. Places are often taken up before the deadline. Early application is highly recommended.
At the time of application you will be asked to complete an assessment of literacy skills to confirm that the course is suitable for you; flexible support is available through our Skills Plus centres. Following successful application and assessment you will be offered an interview with the course tutor. The interview will be informal and will involve a discussion with the tutor about the content and level of the course to ensure that the course is suitable for you and you understand the educational and financial commitments.
