How will I be taught?
The course will include tutor presentations, discussions in small and large groups as well as activities related to the development of English and Maths skills. Students will be encouraged to share their ideas, increase their own knowledge and explore ways in which to support children’s learning.
Tutors will give feedback on homework as well as classroom activities. Tutors will monitor and discuss progress with students.
What do I need to bring with me?
Two A4 files, one for course work and a separate one for the portfolio. You may also like to bring a notebook, pen and USB stick.

Teaching Assistant – Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Certificate OCR Level 2.
What do I need to join the course
You should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, read handouts/exercises and take part in group discussions. You will need to attend regularly.
This Supporting Children’s Learning course is ideal for parents and those who look after children. It is also useful for classroom helpers of children aged 5 to 11 years and anyone considering taking a qualification as a Teaching Assistant.
