How will I be taught?
The Understanding Children’s Minds course uses learner-centred teaching in a supportive environment, aiming to help students develop their skills and increase their knowledge. We will use a range of discussion, worksheets, questionnaires and audio/visual methods to explore the topic.
There are opportunities to discuss the content with the tutor, who can provide feedback and suggestions.
This is an introductory course, so you are not expected to bring any knowledge, but we will be interested to find out how much you have gained from the course by the end.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen, paper and folder for your notes will be helpful but we advise students not to purchase equipment, books or materials until after the first session of the course unless otherwise stated.
What can I do next?
The course would be a useful starting point for anyone considering studying Psychology at GCSE or AS level. We are offering a series of Psychology courses around the county on a variety of topics. Your tutor will advise you on the appropriate follow-up course or visit www.kentadulteducation.co.uk.
What do I need to join the course
Everyone is welcome to join the course.
