How will I be taught?
Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure that you achieve your full potential. The course will be taught in a friendly but focused atmosphere, where your individual needs are catered for.
Teaching and learning are carried out through formally taught sessions, discussion, group work, and supported with role play, worksheets and resource books, practice papers, home study, feedback and evaluation.

What do I need to join the course
A pre-course assessment is held before enrolment to confirm that the course is suitable for you and flexible support is available online and through our Skills Plus centres. All learners enrolled on this GCSE course will be expected to attend from the first lesson, which will give an introduction to the course and the content of the new GCSE exam. The tutor will also set out the commitment necessary to achieve a grade 4 or 5 which is equivalent to a C grade on the old GCSE exam.
This GCSE English course is suitable if you are seeking employment or career advancement, wishing to help your children with school work or just looking for a new challenge. Please note that you should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, read handouts/exercises and take part in group discussions.
