About this course

This introduction to flower arranging gives a solid foundation in design work and presentation of flowers. Discover the tricks of how to take a spray of flowers and turn it into a piece of living art work!

You will learn:

How to create two distinct styles of arrangement, one formal and one more naturalistic.
About choosing and caring for both purchased and gathered flowers and grasses.
How to selevt the appropriate tools to work with.
Working to relevant Health and Safety guidelines.

How will I be taught?

Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft to a higher level. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring a pair of scissors and any extra foliage and greenery from your garden if possible, though we will provide plenty.

What can I do next?

We have a number of one off Saturdays to develop your skills further.
