How will I be taught?
Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft to a higher level. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance and group discussions You will be asked to help document your learning on and you may be given the opportunity to display your work in our Gallery or at external exhibitions and events.
What do I need to bring with me?
The requirements of each student and the amount ad type of glass differs widely so you will be asked by the tutor to pay for any materials you use on an individual basis. Please bring £10 towards the cost of the glass used and give it to the tutor on the day.
Glass cutters will be provided.
Health and Safety:
You must wear closed toe shoes
All masks, gloves and ear defenders will be supplied if necessary
No drinks are allowed in the studio because of the possible risks of contamination.
What can I do next?
Courses are designed to progress students to higher levels of the craft and also to support application to Access to Art and Degree Foundation courses or relevant Craft, Art and Design Degree courses. For all our craft courses se www.kentadulteducation.co.uk
What do I need to join the course
Beginners and those with some experience.are welcome to join the course although a degree of manual dexterity is required.
