About the Exhibition: The Amelia is thrilled to host its first-ever open call exhibition featuring an impressive collection of 396 artworks. This event celebrates the diverse artistic talent within the TN postcode area, offering a platform for local artists to share their creative work with the community.
A Message from The Amelia: "Welcome to 'Your Work Here,' the first-ever open call exhibition hosted by The Amelia. We are thrilled to present 396 artworks. This exhibition celebrates the rich artistic talent within our region, showcasing a diverse array of artworks from local people. From established artists to emerging talents, graduates, amateurs, and first-timers, this event highlights the incredible range of creativity within the TN postcode area.
Our ambition with this exhibition is simple: we want to offer a chance for artists and makers living locally to exhibit their creative work. We also want you, our visitors, to see their work and be inspired by the wealth of skill, ideas, and creativity that exists on your doorstep.
The exhibition is about accessible participation and creating opportunities for artists, so there was no judging panel for entering the exhibition. Instead, we are asking the public to vote for a People's Choice Award. The winner of the award will win a voucher to be used in support of their creative practice.
Where indicated, some artworks are for sale. If you are interested in purchasing an artwork, please ask a member of The Amelia team for the list of artist contact details.
We hope that you will be inspired by the artworks on show and have created a dedicated space in the exhibition for you to create your own artwork. Once completed, add your work to the peg boards and become part of 'Your Work Here.'"
Get Involved: Visitors are encouraged to participate by voting for their favourite artwork in the People's Choice Award. The winning artist will receive a voucher to support their creative practice. Additionally, some artworks are available for purchase - simply enquire with The Amelia team for artist contact details.
