One of the primary focuses of Kent Adult Education is to help individuals gain essential skills for employment and career advancement. Work Skills and Careers courses cover a wide array of subjects including:
English and Maths Functional Skills: These courses are designed to improve your literacy and numeracy skills, which are crucial for most job roles. Whether you need to brush up on your basic skills or prepare for higher-level qualifications, Kent Adult Education offers tailored courses to meet your needs. Functional Skills English and Maths courses start from Entry Level and progress to Level 2. Sessions are delivered in a friendly learning environment, with online courses taking place in real time. They lead to a Functional Skills qualification, and run during the morning, afternoon and evening. Courses start in September, but you can join at any time. These courses are FREE for eligible learners. (Subject to eligibility criteria. Please contact us for more information). English and Maths GCSE Qualifications: FREE** GCSE English and Maths courses are ideal if you are looking to study at college or university, advance your career or re-train for a change of job. They are also ideal if you want to learn skills to help your children with their homework. Our English and Maths GCSE courses are designed to enable you to reach your full potential and to get the best grade possible. Please note: These courses will require an initial assessment, regular attendance and self-study. **Free for learners who do not already have a GCSE English or Maths at grade 4/C.
ESOL Courses: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses are specifically designed for individuals whose first language is not English. These courses aim to improve your reading, spoken and written English, making it easier for you to navigate everyday life and work in the UK. Our ESOL courses are structured to help you gain a Trinity ESOL qualification, which is highly regarded by employers and can significantly enhance your job prospects.
