Maidstone
St Faith’s Street has been associated with The Arts since classes started in 1867. The present-day St Faith’s centre was built in 1893.
The ground floor was occupied by the science classes and art classes were located on the first floor. Apart from a very large elementary art classroom, the studios for advanced art were all in the rear of the building and lit by large and lofty windows on the north side. Several famous artists have passed through St Faith’s including James Butler, Tony Hart, David Hockney and Ruskin Spear. This beautiful building provides a motivating backdrop to your studies.
