Who can join this course

This KAE Studio course is designed for those attending purely for leisure purposes.

It is also aimed at those who have reached their permissible limit on our Tailored Learning progression Creative provision and do not want to move on to the range of Vocational or Accredited courses offered.

This one day Drawing course will allow you to develop your drawing skills. Perhaps you have not used these skills since school or unsure of where to start but you know you want to start drawing, then this one day Drawing course is for you. The tutor will set drawing projects to get the best from you using a variety of drawing materials including pencil, charcoal and pastels. All students are welcome on this course as no experience of the subject is needed.

Is this course for me

This Day of Drawing course will allow you to develop your drawing skills. Perhaps you have not used these skills since school or unsure of where to start but you know you want to start drawing, if so then this Drawing course is for you. The tutor will set drawing projects to get the best from you using a variety of drawing materials including pencil, charcoal and pastels. Your Tutor will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques.

What will I need for my course

Please bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper if you have one. Alternatively cartridge paper will be available at the centre. Please bring a variety of pencils and any other materials/equipment that might be appropriate.

What can I do next

Your tutor will advise you on follow-on courses relevant to their subject.
You can also attend Vocational or Accredited courses in a range of the Creative subjects on offer.

Venue Information

Please bring a packed lunch with you. We do have vending machines for hot and cold drinks and snacks.
There is free parking on site.

Additional Information

For Health & Safety, please do not wear open toed shoes.

It is important to note that art and craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. Also, please make your tutor aware of any pre-existing health conditions that may impact on your learning.
If you need to bring a carer with you, or another adult please speak to the Curriculum Leader for the course.
