Who can join this course

You need to have completed the AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 2, or equivalent qualifications, together with a sound knowledge of basic bookkeeping.

You will need to complete a Level 2 Literacy assessment which can be completed via this link https://forms.office.com/r/9bT9NA3jv6

You
will need basic computing skills to attend this course as it is online and the final exams are computer-based. You should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, read handouts/activities and take part in group discussions.

**Please Note: If you have gained a qualification with another provider you will need to speak to the Curriculum Leader and send evidence of your qualifications to the centre prior to enrolment, to confirm that the course is suitable for you.**

This course is suitable for those employed in a bookkeeping/data processing role and who wish to further develop their bookkeeping and accounting skills and for those expected to work autonomously in carrying out bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

**PLEASE NOTE: In order to complete the course and gain a certificate, you will need to pass two exams. The assessments will take place in Canterbury Adult Education Centre in May and 22nd July. Please ensure you are available on 29th July which is the planned alternative exam date. The course involves at least three compulsory Saturdays from 10am - 2.30pm in Canterbury AEC. The dates will be agreed**

**PLEASE NOTE: You must register with AAT in order to take the exams and gain the certificate. You will need to pay a qualification fee (£94) directly to AAT in order to register for their exams. You will need to complete registration by the third week of the course. The fee covers the qualification's lifetime. Registration provides you with access to online learning materials which will support you with your study.**

**PLEASE NOTE: As this is an accredited course, regular attendance, a high level of commitment and approximately 2-4 hours of home study per week are required of you to be successful on this course. Your tutor will use a variety of teaching and assessment methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure that you achieve your full potential. Methods used will include taught sessions, discussion, group work, worksheets and resource books, practice papers, home study, feedback, evaluation and tracking documents.

This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners.

Do you already have a Level 2 qualification in Bookkeeping and Accounting? Then this 'AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 3 - Online Live' course is for you.

On successful completion of this course you will be able to gain professional status as a qualified bookkeeper, (AATQB) and you will be able to apply to become an AAT Licenced self-employed bookkeeper.

At Level 3, the qualification further develops the practices from Level 2 to enable candidates to record and interpret financial transactions up to and including final accounts and to review tax processes for businesses.

Throughout the course, your tutor will give you verbal and written feedback on your progress towards the requirements of the qualification. The course will be formally assessed by two AAT computer-based exams. The exams will consist of a number of practical tasks.
