Who can join this course

Learn to Draw in a relaxed online live classroom where you tutor will be demonstrating drawing skills in realtime. You will be able to follow the step by step instuctions while working at your own pace. You will be introducted to basic concepts of drawing such as Line, Tone, Shading and Compostion.

Is this course for me

This course is for students with little or no experience of drawing or sketching.

Course aims

By the end of the course you should be able to:

* Identify and use 3 drawing tools
* Demonstate control of drawing tools to create marks on paper
* Experiment with line variations on paper
* Identify and demonstrate basic shading technques

You will also be asked to think of Personal Aims to individualise your learning experience, as well as another benefits the course may have.

What will I need for my course

This course is online live so you will need access to the internet to come into the Virtual Zoom Classroom.

Please have paper/sketch pad and pencils and rubber for the first session. Your tutor will advise if you need any other drawing items as the course progresses.

Additional Information

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.

To get the most out of your course we recommend you attend at least 85% of your sessions. If you do have a pre-arranged commitments booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcome.
