This course is for anyone with an interest in gardening and would like to find out more about the skills required to make the most of your garden.

Is this course for me

This gardening course has been designed to help you learn how to look after your garden through the seasons and the tasks that might need to be undertaken to keep your borders looking good.

In this course, week by week, you will cover the following:-
1. Feeding soil and plants, mulching. Lawn care
2. Pruning – evergreens, deciduous plants
3. Perennials – seasonal care and how to keep them flowering for longer
4. Good planting. Coping with difficult conditions caused by the situation or the weather
5. Weeds, pests and diseases – how to encourage wildlife and keep your garden healthy
6. Propagation – making plants for free. Sowing seeds (annuals and biennials), taking cuttings

This course will be taught by Jo Arnell. Jo is RHS trained in Horticulture and Garden Design, with an emphasis on plants and borders, Jo is keen to inspire everyone to enjoy growing and living with plants through the seasons.
