Who can join this course
This KAE Studio course is designed for those attending purely for leisure purposes.
It is also aimed at those who have reached their permissible limit on our Tailored Learning progression Creative provision and do not want to move on to the range of Vocational or Accredited courses offered. This course is suitable for beginners/those with no experience of the subject.
Is this course for me
Stumpwork is a three-dimensional form and is also known as raised embroidery There is so much creative freedom in stitch.
In this session we will focus on eight different stumpwork stitches such as turkey rug. You will be given guidance on how these stitches can be translated to fill your design. We will also explore the use of wire to create sculptural pieces.
