Who can join this course
This is a KAE Studio course. It is for those with an interest in colour and design in the home, it could also lead into employment on satisfactory completion of the certificate.
This course is suitable for beginners but those with some experience may find the course more useful.
PLEASE NOTE: This course will also run on the following Saturdays: 8 February, 15 March, 17 May and 14 June (10-4pm for each session).
Is this course for me
This course will focus on drawing elevation plans, creating swatch boards, producing costings as well as researching into paint, textiles. lighting and design materials.
You will study some basic design principles such as colour, line, shape, form & texture.
The course is accredited by continuous assessment and requires commitment to the work as well as allowing at least one day a week to work on tasks at home.
PLEASE NOTE: This course will also run on the following Saturdays: 8 February, 15 March, 17 May and 14 June (10-4pm for each session).

* 7157 - 202 Sampling - Design Ideas
* 7157 - 212 Home Office
* 7157 - 213 Bedroom with en-suite
You will also be asked to think of Personal Aims to individualise your learning experience, as well as other benefits the course may have.
What will I need for my course
Please bring a notepad and pen/pencil to your first lesson.
Unless otherwise stated, you will be advised in your first class what resources you will need. If you do have equipment appropriate to the subject, please bring them.
