Who can join this course

This course is your first steps into learning how to play the guitar. You will be taught postiioning of the guitar, how to tune your guilar and how to play 3 basic cords.

Is this course for me

You will need to bring your Guitar with you to each session.

Course aims

By the end of the course you should be able to:

* Demostrate how to tune your guitar
* Identify hand postiioning on the strings of your guitar
* Demonstrate playing 3 cords

You will also be asked to think of Personal Aims to individualise your learning experience, as well as another benefits the course may have.

Additional Information

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.

To get the most out of your course we recommend you attend at least 85% of your sessions. If you do have a pre-arranged commitments booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcome.
