You must meet the entry requirements for the course
- You must be a UK national, or an Irish national, or an EEA national with pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement scheme
- You must have been resident in the UK or an EEA country continuously for the 3 years preceding the start date of your course. For learners living in the Greater London Authority area only you must have valid permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months in duration from the start date of your course.
- You must be aged 19 or over as at the 31st August 2024 for courses in the 2024/25 academic year
- You must agree to commit to and complete an Individual Learning Plan in agreement with your course tutor
Who can join this course
Students need to have completed at least 2 Beginners modular courses or have learnt basic Spanish in the past (about 75 learning hours).
Students should be able to exchange information about themselves, work and life, express likes and dislikes, agreement/disagreement, describe appearances and personalities., make simple arrangements.
Is this course for me
Do you want to speak more Spanish and build on your basic skills? This is the aim of the Spanish Beginners Plus course.
This course is for anyone who is looking to improve the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day to day scenarios when travelling and socialising in Hispanic speaking countries.
You will benefit from being in a classroom, from exchanging face to face with a supportive tutor and others as you practise speaking and enjoy learning the language. You will build on your previous knowledge of basic key phrases, vocabulary, simple grammar and culture.
