Who can join this course

True beginners who are interested in creative writing and wish to start their writing career. Assessment will be based on weekly writing assignments and a final project, which involves the creation of an original piece of writing.

Is this course for me

This course is designed for individuals who are interested in exploring the world of creative writing. It is tailored for true beginners who wish to start their writing career. Students will learn the basics of creative writing, explore different genres, and develop their unique writing style. You will need a willingness to share and discuss your work in a group setting.

Course aims

By the end of the course you should be able to:

* Gain a solid understanding of the elements of creative writing, including plot, character, setting, and theme.
* Develop an appreciation for various genres in creative writing, such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama.
* Improve writing skills through regular practice and constructive feedback.
* Produce original pieces of writing in a chosen genre.
* Learn how to submit works for publication and understand the realities of a writing career.

What can I do next
