Who can join this course

Come and learn the art of Mosaics in glass and lead. What is mosaics? This more free-form type of glass construction is a beautiful way to begin your glass journey or to grow your stained glass repertoire. On this course you will learn the different types of glass for mosaic, their uses and how to apply them. You will be building a mosaic piece using demonstrated and clearly instructed techniques. You will be taught through every step: design, cutting of glass, cleaning, glueing, and finishing. All this, as well as learning how to strengthen your piece and make it stable for decorating your home or as a gift. Once you have mastered the technique and time permitting, you will be designing and building a glass panel of your own incorporating mosaic.

This course is aimed at those who have completed several Beginners or Improver courses in this subject, or have previous experience of working in this subject and have an interest in progressing their chosen subject in a vocational direction.
