Learning in your Community
We run a selection of short accredited courses to prepare you for work and volunteering. We also run introductory courses which develop skills relevant to specific areas of work and also give you the chance to get a taste for what’s ahead.
The content of the courses varies greatly, but examples include working in health & social care and IT skills. The purpose of the courses is to develop skills and knowledge to help you progress in life. People successfully completing these courses will have increased confidence and motivation as well as industry recognised qualifications (for accredited courses).
Kent Adult Education's Family Learning programme of courses are run in partnership with local schools, family hubs, faith venues and other community centres. The courses are informative, practical and fun, offering a great opportunity for parents, carers and their children to enjoy quality time together, learning new skills or rediscovering some old ones.
