Important changes to our concessions

Are you in paid employment and earn a salary of less than £20,319?
If you are employed with a salary of less than £20,319 you'll be entitled to a 100% concession when enrolling on courses ending in PF for up to a maximum of 108 guided learning hours per subject area per year. There is no guided learning hours limit for courses ending in FF. Please note, this is only for learners who are not drawing a pension (state or private). The subject areas are:
- ICT
- Performing Arts
- Creative Arts
- Physical activity
- Health and Social Care
- Humanities
- Languages
Are you in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance or Universal Credit?
If you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance or Universal Credit and earn less than £617 a month (sole claimant) or £988 per month (as a joint claimant), you'll be entitled to a 100% concession when enrolling on courses ending in PF for up to a maximum of 108 guided learning hours per subject area per year. There is no guided learning hours limit for courses ending in FF. The subject areas are:
- ICT
- Performing Arts
- Creative Arts
- Physical activity
- Health and Social Care
- Humanities
- Languages
Are you employed by or a retiree of the Armed Forces, Emergency Services or NHS?
If you are an employee or retiree from the Police service, the Fire service, National Health Service or the Armed Forces you are entitled to a 10% concession on courses (excluding courses ending in NC).
Are you in receipt of any of the state benefits listed below?
If you are in receipt of any of the following state benefits you are entitled to at least 50% off courses (excluding courses ending in NC).
- Bereavement Allowance
- Bereavement Support Payments
- Carer's Allowance
- Child Tax Credit
- Guardians Allowance
- Housing benefit
- Incapacity benefit
- Income support
- Pension credit
- Industrial Injuries benefit
- Personal Independence Payments
- Severe Disablement benefit
- Universal Credit
- War Widow's/Widowers pension
- Working Tax credit
These are just some of the examples of how concessions could help you cover the cost of your course.
