Centre information

The Sittingbourne Centre was originally built as a boarding school for boys who lived within the surrounding area and later became the home for Kent Adult Education. The building still holds a number of period features and boasts many fantastic classrooms. Sittingbourne Adult Education Centre delivers courses across the board, and has excellent facilities within its Art Studios and IT Suites.

We're Moving Offices - 2017/18

As part of a Kent County Council property review, from the start of the next academic year in September 2017 we will be operating from Units A/B London Road, Sittingbourne ME10 1NQ.

These new premises offer modern, air conditioned classroom facilities and are located close to public transport links. We shall continue to provide you with a range of courses with classrooms fully equipped for our Art and Craft, and IT provisions, as well as generalised classrooms designed to host a wide range of courses. Some of the ‘specialist’ courses will be delivered in alternative locations, which are currently being researched and this information will be made available as soon as possible.

There will be no on-site car parking facilities during the day (09:00 to 17:00) and limited car parking after 17:00. However, if you need to drop off equipment in relation to your course, there will be a limited drop off facility.

Alternative parking can be found nearby at Cockleshell Walk Car Park and Spring Street Car Park, both are located on St Michael’s Road and charges apply from 8am-6pm Mon-Fri. There is also on-street parking at no charge available a short walk away from the centre, in Borden Lane and Johnson Road.
