A Day of Botanical Watercolour Painting course | Art class in Tonbridge

Learn how to observe and produce beautiful watercolour drawings, learning skills that you can transfer to other paintings. Observational skills and colour mixing will be developed throughout the day.
The tutor for this course will guide you through:
What to look for to help you when making your drawings to paint
Consider the composition of the image on the paper
Colour matching your palette to your objects
Learning a variety of watercolour techniques
The session will be tutor led, to enable you to build your knowledge and skills in a progressive structured fashion.

How will I be taught?

Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques. You will undertake critical reflection and evaluation and be motivated to develop creative skills and enhance/develop personal skills.

What do I need to bring with me?

A good watercolour paper A4 sized painting sketch book, brushes and watercolour paints. You will also need to have suitable pencils and a clean de-labeled jar for water. Please bring a long anything you think could be suitable but paper can be bought at the centre on the day.

All students are welcome on this course who have an interest in using watercolour and find out what qualities it has and how to use it successfully.
