In this one day course you will use a variety of watercolour techniques to help you learn to paint and draw accurately seasonal plants and flowers.

This course is suitable for all levels and is a good introduction into colour mixing, drawing from life/observation and learning watercolour techniques. You will start to identify the colours in the flowers and replicate these in your paintings.

The tutor for this course will guide you through:
What to look for to help you when making your Paintings
Consider the composition of the image on the paper
Colour matching your palette to your plant or flower
Drawing and the use of line for accuracy
Help with the understanding of plant biology
This is a very considered art that can help you produce drawings to be proud of.
The session will be tutor led, to enable you to build your knowledge and skills in a progressive structured fashion.

How will I be taught?

Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques. You will undertake critical reflection and evaluation and be motivated to develop creative skills and enhance/develop personal skills.

What do I need to bring with me?

A good Cartridge paper A4 sized sketch book, and a set of watercolour paints. Please bring along anything you think could be suitable.
